He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig William and Evelyn Mary Schremp Christisen; his wife Janet Runge; his son Theodore Christisen II; his siblings, Robert, David, Merlin, Larry, Kenneth, Ronald Christisen, Carolyn Grindstaff, Norma Schumer and Terri Emmendorfer; and his brothers-in-law, Neal Mahnken and James Grindstaff.
He is survived by: his children, Patti Jean Gilliam (Ralph) of Poplar Bluff and Mark Wade Christisen of Jackson; his siblings, Roy Christisen (Shirley), Allen Christisen (Renee), Loretta Wood, Judy Fry (Robert), Patricia Torbert (Rodney) and Donna Mahnken; his niece Amanda Klaus (Michael); and his nephew Bradley Mahnken (Tiffany). He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Perryville or Zion Lutheran Church, Crosstown.
