She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Joseph and Gladys Marie Campbell Abernathy; her son Steven Brown; and her siblings, Raymond, Lentice "Abe" Abernathy, Loudean Case-Jones, Willard and Hersel "Gene" Abernathy.
She is survived by: her children, Gordon Brown (Nancy) of Franklin, Tennessee and Cheryl Wasilewski (Todd) of Jackson; her daughter-in-law Nancy Brown (late Steven) of Kerrville, Texas; her grandchildren, Collin Brown (Georgia), Evan Brown, Nick Wasilewski, Bethany Brown, Callie Gonzalez (Benjamin) and Nadia Wasilewski; and her great grandchildren, Lilyanna, Sophia, Caleb Gonzalez and Shilo Valdez.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McCombs Funeral Home & Cremation Center (640 W Independence St, Jackson, MO 63755). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Russell Heights Cemetery (435 S Farmington Rd, Jackson, MO 63755).
