He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Cleve" Brandes and Irene Kassel Brandes. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Weber; his children, Terry Brandes (Pamela) of Chattanooga, Lisa Winter (Richard) of Pocahontas, Maxine Mize of Pocahontas and Timothy Brandes of Perryville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Dustin, Brandon, Katie, Haily, Deven, Kristy, Kali, Nicholas and Cali; and his brother L. R. Brandes (Janet). He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Saxony Lutheran High School or the Southeast Cancer Center.
