It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emilie L Wendel of Jackson, Missouri, born in Brownsville, Texas, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Propst and Hazel Propst; her brothers, Michael Schubert and Patrick Schubert (Claudine); and her sister-in-law Ruth Wendel Lane.
She is survived by: her grandson Aidin Jacob Wendel; her sister Molly Strickland; her brother-in-law John Strickland; and also Nicole Blechle of Perryville. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and a wealth of friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McCombs Funeral Home & Cremation Center (640 W Independence St, Jackson, MO 63755). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Emanuel United Church of Christ (640 W Independence St, Jackson, MO 63755). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. James United Church of Christ (245 Co Rd 366, Jackson, MO 63755).
