He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence H. Shirrell and Gertie Smith Shirrell; and his siblings, Wilma Ervin (Lloyd), Wanda June Shirrell, Cletis Shirrell and Mildred Eastwood (Charles).
He is survived by: his wife Donna Shirrell of Jackson; his children, Cliff Shirrell (Lynnette), Connie Brewer (Kelly) and Carla Smith (Glenn); his stepchildren, Justine Mitchell (Mitch), Sterling M. Pfeifer (Julie) and Bruce Pfeifer (Erin); and his siblings, Clinton Shirrell (Elaine), Bonnie Christy (Shelby), Clayton Shirrell (Sherry) and Charles Shirrell. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial contributions to the Tuition Assistance Funds of the following: St. Vincent De Paul Grade School; St. Mary's Grade School; or Notre Dame Regional High School.
