She was predeceased by: her mother Effie May Hassell Pruitt; and her siblings, Dorothy Plunket and Leroy Pruitt. She is survived by: her husband Sam Duncan of Jackson; her children, Cathy Haynes (Arvin) of Greenville, Susan Lane of Jackson and Dr. Sam Duncan (Melanie) of New Madrid; her grandchildren, Aaron Haynes (Brandy) of Nashville, Scott Lane (Ashley) of St. Louis, Missy Dyer (Derek) of Jackson, Bailey Gross (Andrew) of Jackson, Samuel Lawrence Duncan of Cape Girardeau and Jenny Duncan of Chesterfield; and her great grandchildren, Lucky Haynes, Nolen, Sadie, Lucy Lane, Chloe, Abby Dyer, Eli, Clyde and Annie Gross. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to Southeast Missouri State University Foundation for the Barbara Ann Pruitt Duncan Scholarship.
