He is survived by: his former wife Beulah "Janet" Honeycutt; his daughter Sharon Kay Cassidy (Michael); his grandsons, Sean Vickery, Jason Whitehouse, Matthew Vickery, Christopher Harmon and Steven Harmon; his wife Carol Marie Crites (Warren); his children, Kathryn Ver Straate (Marc) of Matthews and Barrett Mitchell (Jamie) of Desloge, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Jack Ver Straate, Hannah Ver Straate, Berrie Hughes, Samuel Mitchell and Louis Mitchell; and his sister Theodora Cashman of Jasper, Texas.. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ironton or the Signer Senior Center.
