He was predeceased by: his parents, Jestern Carl Alvers and Beatrice Ada Lockhart (Berry); his son Richard Kent Alvers; his granddaughter Lori Marie Helms (Crocker); his sister Dorothy Rogers; and his wife Peggy June Alvers (Bailey).
He is survived by: his children, Carl, Jr. (Linda) and Retha (Roger Crocker); and his daughter-in-law Betty Alvers (Gayoso). He is also survived by five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
