He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert C. Saylor and Lillian Viola Saylor (Wardlow); and his brothers, Gilbert E. Saylor and Joseph W. Saylor. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey A. Saylor (Barbara) of Valley Lee and Gregory D. Saylor (Amanda) of Lexington Park, Maryland; and his grandchildren, Jeff, Brittany, Greg and Christine. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
