It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Arndt Steffens of Ionia, Missouri, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Friedrich and Emma Christina Steffens (Mueller); his brother Arnold; his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Steffens and Mildred Steffens; and his nephew Darrel Ehlers.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Steffens of Cole Camp; his brothers, Delbert Steffens of Sedalia and Ralph; his sister-in-law Myra Rambow of Cole Camp; and his nieces and nephews, Melvin Steffens (Karen) of Overland Park, James Steffens (Linda) of Lee's Summit, Marlene Ehlers of Cole Camp, Elaine Froeschle (Caryl) of Lee's Summit, Janet Torres (Anthony) of Lubbock, Rebecca Otto (Craig) of Lee's Summit, Debra Gotzon (Mark) and Tanja Walton (Flint) of Sedalia. He is also survived by sixteen great-nieces and nephews; and fourteen great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran Cemetery in care of the Fox Funeral Home, PO Box 37, Cole Camp, MO 65325.
