He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Gates and Dora Gates; and his brothers, Alvin Kenneth Gates Jr. and David Lee Gates. He is survived by: his children, Anne Marie Gates Edwards and John Kenneth Gates; his daughter-in-law Nicole Nielsen Gates; his grandsons, Dalton Mitchel Edwards, Cooper Kenneth Gates and Logan Erik Gates; and his brother Richard Alvin Gates.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Faith Christian Family Church (17350 E Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Wright City, MO 63383).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to be given to Faith Christian Family Church.
