It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wilda Narlene Britton of Independence, Missouri, born in Fairbury, Illinois, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Leathers and Olive Leathers (Pifer); and her brother Bobby Leathers. She is survived by: her siblings, Otis, David, James and Linda; her friend MarJean Shute (Britton); her granddaughter Wilda; the parents of child, Dr. David and Kay Mehlisch; her husband Wayne Britton of Independence, Missouri; her children, Kelly Britton of Laveen, Arizona, Dr. Michelle (Scott Mehlisch) and Scott Britton-Mehlisch of Lee's Summit, Missouri; her granddaughters, Meg Britton-Mehlisch of Pittsfield, Massachusetts and Katie Britton-Mehlisch of Kansas City, Missouri.; and also Wayne. She is also survived by siblings, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and one great grand niece.
