He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Adrian and Myrtle Imogene Whiting (Vargason); his son Richard Whiting, Sr.; and his grandson Richard Whiting, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Eva Marie Burkhart of Carrollton; his sons, Gerry Whiting (Jackie) of Gassville, AR., Kenny Whiting of Blue Springs, MO. and Denny Whiting of Independence, MO.; his grandchildren, Christy Davenport (Donnie), Mindy Spano (Mike), Thomas Craig (Sarah), Kelly Clark, Jennifer Mitchem, Melissa Vickers, Jason Whiting (Lori) and Misty Whiting; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Whiting. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren.
