He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Gengler and Edna Gengler (Erickson); and his brothers, Nickie, Charles and Peter Gengler.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie Gengler; his sons, Michael Gengler and Tim Gengler (Stacie); his grandchildren, Kristin Gengler, Karrin Gengler and Broedy Gengler; and his siblings, John Gengler (Joyce), David Gengler (Cindy), Karen Sanders (Roger) and Cathy Butterfield (Gene). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
