With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Applebaugh of Independence, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on February 21, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Nelson and Sylvia Nelson (Graham). She is survived by: her husband Don Applebaugh of Independence, MO; her children, Cheryl Clifton of Pleasant Valley, MO and William Streeter of Independence, MO; her brother Robert Nelson; and her stepdaughters, Robyn Locke of Paola and Traci Ficken (Rob) of Olathe. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the City Union Mission or Saint Luke's Hospice.
