He is survived by: his son Sean "Jake" (April); his grandchildren, Emma Tate of Niangua, MO, Kylie Hensen of Springfield, MO and Matthew Hensen of Springfield, MO; his son Xavier Tate (Cheyenne); his grandsons, Alaric and Keander Tate of Independence, MO; his sons, Jeremy Platt of Independence, MO and Jason Platt of Pleasant Hill, MO; his father Kenneth "Mike" Tate of Edwards, MO; and his siblings, Hidi Tate of Blue Springs, MO, Tim Tate of Edwards, MO and Shannon (Linda). He is also survived by uncle and several cousins, nephews and a niece.
