He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Victor and Marjorie Viola Bedwell (Wheeler); and his brother James Bedwell. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Jill Maxon and Sara Mayes (Michael); and his grandchildren, Nathan Roe Maxon, Aralyn Melissa Mayes, Emerson Faye Mayes and Hunter Andrew Mayes. He is also survived by friends and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
