With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sam Tawney of Independence, Missouri, born in Paris, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Tawney and Margaret Tawney (Cress) of Hermitage, MO; and his sister-in-law June Daugherty. He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Lee Tawney of Independence, MO and Kent Edward Tawney (Vicki) of Lee Summit, MO; his grandchildren, Alex (Haley), Zach, Elliott and Hannah; and his sister Rebecca Kennedy of Bolivar, MO. He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
