She is survived by: her children, Bruce (late Maija Meijers), Linda (Ed Piccolo) and Tom Byers (Eileen O'Toole); her grandchildren, Ivars Byers, Varis Mohler, Matthew, Logan, Evan Piccolo, Daniel and Collin Byers; her great grandchild Soren Byers; her brother Harry Himmelstein (Gail); her close friend Bernard Salkey; and her sister-in-law Reta Hans (late Richard).
