He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Umsted and Ida Umsted; his siblings, Mary Ann Hanson, Irwin Umsted, Forrest Umsted and Robert Umsted; and his son Ricky Umsted.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Umsted; his children, Randy Umsted (Ada) and Roma Prins (Martin); his siblings, Rosemary Kaufman (Joe), Richard Umsted (Nancy) and Gary Umsted; his grandchildren, Chad Rowe (Christy), Alex Prins (Natalie) and Angela Prins; and his pet Buffy. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
