He is survived by: his wife Linda Boessen Ricks of Columbia; his daughters, Gwen Johnson of Lenexa, Robyn Kula of Columbia and Kitty Meddows of Lee's Summit; his siblings, Deborah Simms of Cincinnati, OH and Kevin Kress of Orlando; and his grandchildren, Claudia Caskey of Lenexa, Theodore Adams of Chicago, Emmett, Harrison Wright of Columbia, Grady Patrick Meddows and Cooper Meddows of Lee's Summit.
