With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Wayne Edmonds of Independence, Missouri, born in Manhattan, Kansas, who passed away on March 1, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Edmonds and Lottie Edmonds (Jeffers); his wife Doris Marie (Hentzen); his grandson Joshua Edmonds; and also, Arthur and Lottie Edmonds.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Nichols (Mark), Dan (Claudia) and Mary Lynn Broll (Peter); his grandchildren, Laura Neir (Roger), Christy Nichols, Angela Isern (Brian), Michele Babin Matt (Dusko), Mia Meurer (Jacob) and Renee Douglas (Sam); his great grandchildren, Alex, Jessica, Cole, Jack, Mark, Carlie, Claire, Kate, Etta and Edith; and his great great grandchild Danielle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. Mark's Catholic Church (3736 S Lee's Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055) or St. Bernadette's Catholic Church (9020 E 51st Terrace, Kansas City, MO).
