It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Nadine VanVelsan of Independence, Missouri, born in Lees Summit, Missouri, who passed away on March 1, 2022, at the age of 36, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Randy VanVelsan and Nancy VanVelsan (Doyle); her son Desmond; her fiancé Gabriel Silva; her child Ryland Silva; her siblings, Jack VanVelsan, Michelle VanVelsan and Angie Thomas; and her nieces and nephews, Kaylee, Kaydence, Paige, Kurt, Adelina, Ella, Adien and Billie Jean.
