She was predeceased by: her parents, Linda Stratton and Henry Butler; and her brother Johnny Lynn. She is survived by: her husband Lester Pennell; her children, Thomas Pennell, Trisha Miller, Nicolas Pennell and William Pennell; her grandchildren, Jaden, James, Katie, Joseph, Alexis, Christopher, Jenna, Destiny, Asia, Tommy, Trinity and William; her great grandchild Michael; her aunt Charlene; and her brother Kenneth Stratton (David Elam).
