It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patty Lou Sammons of Independence, Missouri, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Murphey and Wilma Murphey (Marshall); her children, William Eldon Buckner and Cindy Lou Buckner (Elvis Sammons); her sister Lela Thomas; her stepson Randall Sammons; and her granddaughter Jennifer Hessenflow.

She is survived by: her sons, Douglas James Buckner and Jeffrey Lorne Buckner; her sister Doris Murphey; and her stepdaughters, Kathy Hessenflow and Lynda Beshears. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a lot of friends.
