It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick A. Smithers of Independence, Missouri, who passed away on May 13, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smithers and Anna Smithers; and his sister-in-law Marla Smithers. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Smithers and Georgia Bain (Buddy); his children, Melissa Liston (Robert), Kimberly Peters (Dan) and Patrick T. Smithers; his grandchildren, Dylan Liston, Alexis Liston, Caleb Rose (Elaine), Hailey Smith, Gage Peters and Madilyn Peters; his great grandchildren, Violet Rose and Zayne Counihan; his niece Tina Peckham (Zachary); and his nephews, Paul Hale and Adam Hale.
