He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Soetaert and Julma Soetaert (Corteville); his wife Hazel Marie McMillan; his son Moras Soetaert, Jr.; and his siblings, Albert Soetaert, Margaret Umphenour, Mary Landram and Irene Ratchford.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Burton (Jimmy) of Colonial Heights, Virginia, Bill Soetaert (Rhonda) of Independence, Missouri and Michael Soetaert (Susan) of Portland, Oregon. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
