He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton T. Cox Jr. (Ted) and Lois Cox. He is survived by: his wife Teri Cox (Wallace); his sons, Milton T. Cox IV (Mandy), Brandon Cox, Tanner Cox (Holly) and Jonathan Cox; his grandchildren, Makenna Cox, Milton T. Cox V, Madden Cox, Merrick Cox and Memphis Cox; and his siblings, Dana Faris (Mike Faris), Tim Cox and Chris Cox (Stacie Cox). He is also survived by sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make any monetary donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
