He is survived by: his wife Jackie Bartels; his sons, Jordan Bartels (Shannon) of Pittsburgh, PA and Jared Bartels (Flannery) of Blue Springs, MO; his grandchildren, Brian Jordan Bartels, Brayden Jared Bartels, August Newman Bartels and Jude Matthew Bartels; and his sister Dorothy Perry (Don) of Waterloo, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
