He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Sophie Bertha Droege (Eckhoff); and his brothers, Delbert Wayne Droege and Dennis Ray Droege. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Kay Droege; his son Danny Lee Droege (Flecia Droege) of Longview, TX; his grandson Dr. Dylan Casey Droege (Shelby Droege) of Columbia, SC; and his siblings, Marion Curtis Droege of Warrensburg, MO and Darlene Lillian Thompson (Gordon Thompson) of Columbia, MO.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Blue Springs Cemetery (2800 SW Walnut St, Blue Springs, MO 64015).
