We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2024, at the age of 83, Marilyn Shrimpton Tonkin Rue of Independence, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walt Shrimpton and Martha Shrimpton. She is survived by: her husband Sonny Rue; her sister Judy Carlson; her sons, Stephen Tonkin, Brent Tonkin and Chuck Tonkin (Amber); her stepdaughter Patricia DeGhelder (Doug); her grandchildren, Sean Tonkin, Kadi Converse (Gary), Chase Tonkin (Savannah), Tate Tonkin (Leslie), Kelli Hicks (Eric), Rachel Tonkin, Rebecca Tonkin and Sarah Tonkin; her great grandchild Charlie Tonkin; her nephews, Norman Carlson and David Chinnery; and her niece Dawn Lynn.
