Luther Young Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luther Young of Independence, Missouri, born in Eubank, Kentucky, who passed away on November 17, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Young and Liddie Bell Young; and his siblings, Joyce Kunkel, Lonnie Young and Bobby Young.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Luther Wade Young, II, Sherry Coons (Jacob), Jennifer Lapthorn (Brian), Janis Glynn (Eric) and Jerry Wilson (Michelle); his sisters, Donna Darnell (Tim) and Patty DeLure (Greg); and his uncle George Wesley (Ruth). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Disabled American Veterans, 14605 E US Hwy 40, Kansas City, MO 64136.
