He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Johnston and Wathena Johnston (Beverstock); and his brothers, Glenn Johnston and Dwayne Johnston. He is survived by: his wife MaryJoan Johnston of Independence, MO; his children, Cari Underwood (Rick) of Overland Park, KS and Cameron Johnston; and his grandchildren, Lyndsey Sutherland (Justin), Cheyenne McHenry and Lachlan Johnston. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, former students, and friends.
