Karlene Marie Preston Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karlene Marie Preston (Independence, Missouri), born in McPherson, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Shendelle Suzanne Preston; her parents, Carl Elvin (Peg) and Evelyn Elvin; her brothers, Chuck (Cheri) and Barry Elvin (Lynn); and her granddaughter Shendelle Marie Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Jerrold; her daughters, Vickie Sanders (Derek), Cindy Preston (Deena) and Sheila Johnson (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Tiffani (Mike), Cody (Shannon), Dylan, Shane (Carli), Skylar (Emma), Austin (Kelsie) and Jared (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Hunter, Tanner, Miley, Jeremiah, Ava Marie, Milo, Atlas, Madelyn, Leighton and Kennedy; and her pet Boots. She is also survived by many other family members, dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church (14506 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up in Karlene's name at Christ United Methodist Church UMF.
