He was predeceased by: his parents, George Scarlett and Laura Scarlett (Blandon); his son Jeffrey Scarlett; his grandson Nicholas Scarlett; and his stepgrandson Brandon Myers (Sherry).
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Evilsizer; his son John Scarlett (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Jeff Scarlett (Amanda), Jason Scarlett, Becky Willoughby (Todd) and Megan Scarlett; his stepgrandchildren, Chris Myers and Renee Myers; his sisters, Marie Edith Carroll, Nora Johnson and Dottie; and his great grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Tiffany, Taylor, Brandon, Josh and Eli.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans Community Project or Fishing for Freedom.
