It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John G. Olivarez of Independence, Missouri, who passed away on August 10, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John G. Olivarez to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. Olivarez and Feliz Olivarez (Cruz); his brother Robert Olivarez; and his brother-in-law Duane Meier. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Olivarez; his son John Olivarez (Gerrie); his grandchildren, John Carlos Olivarez (Heather), Jared Olivarez (Melissa), Bonnie Macoubrie (Marc), Marty Hoffman (Leslie), Scott Hoffman, Amy Phillips (Dan) and Jenni Boldrey (Scott); his siblings, Mary Meier and Joseph Olivarez (Jan); and his sister-in-law Gwendy Olivarez. He is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
