He was predeceased by: his grandson Corey Richardson; and his sisters, Opal Montgomery and Nancy Manners. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Hix; his children, John F. Hix and Mendy Hix of Blue Springs, MO; his grandchildren, Kyle Richardson (Jessica) of Hutto, TX, Garrett Wendel of Sugar Creek, MO, Tanner Wendel of Blue Springs, MO, John W. Hix, Abbigail Hix, Jonathan Dorris and Grace Dorris; and his great grandchildren, Nash Richardson and Cohen Richardson.
