Jessie Alvin Peters Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jessie Alvin Peters of Independence, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 9, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jessie Alvin Peters to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peters and Georgia Peters; his brothers, Vic (Alice), Gene (Gloria), Bob (Thelma), Bill and Glenn (Margaret); and his daughter Chris Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Janis (Reese); his daughters, Karen Bromley of Blue Springs and Carla Johnson (Charles) of Fort Worth, TX; his sister-in-law Alice Cotton; his grandchildren, Katie Bromley, Matt Bromley (Mackenzie) and Jessica Bartels; and his great grandchildren, Maeve and Finn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Maywood Baptist Church (10505 E Winner Rd, Independence, MO 64052). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mt. Washington Cemetery (614 S Brookside Ave, Independence, MO 64053).
