He is survived by: his mother Clarinda Jo Whittle Reistad of Sedalia, Missouri; his daughter Emily Jo Reistad of Kingsville, Missouri; his siblings, Kelly Reistad of Belton, Missouri and Anna Kissel (John) of Milwaukee, Minnesota; his nieces and nephews, Haylie Reistad, Mariella Reistad, Alan Reistad and Kaydin Reistad; his aunts, Patti Stretz (Chris) of Sedalia and Paulette Strader (Ralph) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and his cousins, Tara Smithson, Erin Griffith, Jenny Strader and Maggie Hartman. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shatterproof National Addiction Memorial in honor of James.
