Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Howard Hughes of Independence, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 83, on January 4, 2025. As Howard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Howard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Howard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hughes and Marge Hughes (Samuel); and his sisters, Barbara Allee and Diane Waisner (Jerry). He is survived by: his wife Deanna R. Nichols; his daughter Nicole Brown (Jim); his grandson Justin Brown; and his brother-in-law Don Allee of Lee's Summit. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hadley Funeral Home (405 E Benton St, Windsor, MO 65360). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests contributions to the Laurel Oak Cemetery or Samaritan's Purse for disaster relief.
