She was predeceased by: her parents, Ladine Young and Byron Young; her brothers, Jack Young and Glen Young; and her children, Jill Burrus and Joel Burrus.
She is survived by: her sister Barbara Sleep; her daughters, Gale Burrus and Terri Blackwood; her son-in-law Joe Blackwood; her son Jay Burrus; and her daughter-in-law Jan Aylward. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
To honor her life, a donation to KC Pet Project or Burroughs Audubon Society of Greater Kansas City would be appropriate as she loved cats, dogs, and the birds that visited her feeders.
