It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Burkett in Independence, Missouri, born in Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on July 18, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hunter J. Roberson and Julia Roberson (Ross); her husband George A. Burkett; her daughter Judy Tuley; her granddaughter Michelle; and her siblings, Clarence, Grovey, Howard, James, Willard, Melvin, Wheeler, Doris, Lizzie, Nellie and Barbara.
She is survived by: her sons, Jerry Baker (Nancy) and Bill Burkett. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
