He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Clyde Shinn and Anna Gertrude Shinn (Patterson); and his siblings, Junior Shinn, Lyle Shinn, Jerry Shinn and Roberta Howe.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Shinn; and his daughter Lisa Shinn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
