He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Lauderdale III and Margaret Virginia Lauderdale; and his brother Robert Steven Lauderdale. He is survived by: his fiancé Debi Wiedmaier; his daughter Leigh Anne Taylor (Brent); and his grandchildren, Hayden and Leighton Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in George's honor to the American Lung Association.
