He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Carter and Opal Carter (Smith); his spouse Maryke; his siblings, Bernadine Taylor, Iretha Robertson, Emily Shaw and Bill Carter; his niece Danielle; and his nephew Mark.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven Carter (Naite) of Lawson, MO, Scott Carter (Julie) of Poteau, OK and Greg Carter (Tiffany) of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Trevor, Valu, Eugene, Clint, Bradley, Skylan, Sydney, Colton and Maryke; and his great grandchildren, Nafanua, Uriah, Gracie, Jaylen, Jayden, Helaman and Je'Vonn.
