We are sad to announce that on November 26, 2024, at the age of 82, Franklin D. Barnes of Independence, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Franklin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Franklin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Franklin leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Barnes and Alice Barnes; and his daughter-in-law Daina. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his sons, Frank Jr. (Sandy) of Independence, Tim of Buckner, Michael (Jo Ann) of Odessa and Randy of Bates City; and his sister Susan Visentin (Jerry) of Sedalia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and 2 nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local animal shelter.
