With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn V. Johnston of Independence, Missouri, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Charles Stilson and Bernice Stilson (Flester); and her son Michael Barnes. She is survived by: her children, William Barnes (Emma) of Michigan and Evelyn Lee (Mike) of Missouri. She is also survived by 2 granddaughters in Missouri; 2 grandsons in Michigan; 1 grandson in Pennsylvania; and 1 great-granddaughter.
