We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2024, at the age of 94, Evelyn L. Baker of Independence, Missouri, born in Fairview, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Evelyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Evelyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Draper and Luva Draper (Springer); her husband Winford "Bub" Baker; and her grandson Chris Baker. She is survived by: her children, Jeane Hartley (Bob) of Pleasant Hill, Larry Baker (Sydney) of Buckner, MO, Carl Baker (Brenda) of Pleasant Valley, MO, Cloyd Baker (Shirley) of Independence, MO and Clifford Baker of Independence, MO; and her brother Floyd Draper of Waynesboro, VA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
