It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Esther Iona Lighthill of Independence, Missouri, born in Ainsworth, Nebraska, who passed away on December 28, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Gerths and Rosalie Gerths; her husband Burl; and her son Vern Lighthill. She is survived by: her sons, Boyd Lighthill (Jane) of Independence, MO and Jim Lighthill (Brenda) of Kansas City, MO; and her grandchildren, Lisa Patrick (Chris), Lori Moskowitz (Eric), Melissa Acton (Yale), Kirsten Davis (Scott), James Lighthill (Rochele), David, Mike and Tammy Lighthill. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
