With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Ruth Reed of Independence, Missouri, born in Osceola, Missouri, who passed away on November 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hal Reed, Jr.; her daughter Mindy Torello; her parents, Estin Snyder and Edna Snyder; and her sister Mary Anne Lawrence.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindi Reed Skeen; her children-in-law, David (Dennis Reed) and Julie; her grandchildren, Matthew Skeen (Janel), Megan Ruth Luster (Kyle), Rachel Andersen (Zack), Jacob Reed, Caleb Torello and Jennifer Vandervalk (Zach); her great grandchildren, Gracin, Kendrik, Beckett Skeen, Lane, Luke Luster, Adyaln and Zane Vandervalk; and her siblings, Elaine Wilson, Karen Hammond and Ron Snyder. She is also survived by extended family full of cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Maywood Baptist Church in Ruth's memory, honoring her commitment to her faith and community.
